Because this wedding featured handmade kusudama flowers (by the bride!), I wanted to bring those in to the invitation suite. The couple are using various shades of violet in their wedding – from flowers to dresses to linens, so we worked together to get the perfect shades of violet and purples down on paper.
The simple script offset the sans-serif type and the illustrated kusudama flowers practically float over the paper. The piece is airy, with a bolder patterned backer. The couple opted for a few handfuls of invitations in Chinese, so I created a coordinating Chinese version with a bilingual RSVP.
